Customers at a café in East London, built as part of a smart canalside residential development, can now enjoy a relaxing atmosphere thanks to a tailored Hunter Douglas powered Sun Control system. Commissioned by London-based architects Jestico + Whiles the international leaders in architectural building products provided a 147m2 Sun Control System with horizontal sliding-folding shutters because it was the only company that can manufacture the kind of motorised shutters that was required. The stylish café situated on the ground floor of the Telford Homes Boathouse development in Cotall Lane, near to the Limehouse Cut canal, needed a well designed and smart-looking, tough sun control systems to improve the façade while providing a extremely effective sun protection. Hunter Douglas manufactured and supplied a made to measure folding shutter system that comprises individual panels at are unified by hinges.
